This report shows the number of mortgages insured and total amount of mortgages insured by private mortgage insurance companies in each of the geographic areas where data is collected.

Markets are ranked in size based on the total $ amount of insured mortgages in that market.

Because MICA is complete for the entire nation, you can group by state, group by metro area, or by county. This grouping choice affects how the report output looks upon completion. Simply make that choice by clicking in the sub-menu to the left.

You can filter the mortgage insurance activity input to the report using the drop-down selection boxes common to all MICA report facilities:

• Loan Type: Select Conventional or Conventional-Jumbo Mortgages
• Loan Purpose: Select Combinations of mortgages for purchase money and refinance mortgages

Finally, like other facilities in the MICA section of the site, you filter the mortgage insurance activity input to the report by specifying a date range. Because MICA is published annually, this is normally a single year but multi-year ranges are possible.
